Bose SoundDock digital music system v1 2004 - Power problem

When I plug my Iphone X (using an Apple adaptor) into the sound dock, I am not getting a connection and the docking station is not working.     The Sound Dock  worked fine until several months ago.    Could it be the "Switching Power Supply Cord" which plugs into the docking station?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?   Is this part even available anymore?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Bose SoundDock digital music system v1 2004 - Power problem

Hi nlc2019,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community.

You can still purchase a replacement Power Cord, however you will need to reach out to our support team to purchase this product! You can get in touch with them via the contact us page on our website.

I would recommend that you perform a product reset, this can be done via:

  • Remove the iPod from the dock
  • Unplug the SoundDock power cord from the power outlet. Wait 30 seconds
  • Reconnect the power cord
  • Retest the system

I would also recommend connecting the SoundDock to another power outlet to ensure that this isn't causing any issues.

Please update me on the result of this.

Kind Regards,
