Cannot get my remote for sound bar 500 to control direct tv genie

So I can provide you with the most accurate information on programming your remote to control other devices, can you please confirm which soundbar you have? As you mentioned both the Soundbar 500 and the Solo 5 in your post, it would be really helpful to know which you have, as they both have different methods needed to program the remote!
