Old 901 speakers

Have had my 901's for about 25 years and sound is not as sharp as it used to be.  Are there items that likely have deteriorated and can be replaced to improve the sound quality?

Re: Old 901 speakers

Hey, @BobMac!
The comment above about the dry rotted surround is easy enough to check and fix.  I did that a couple of years ago (with the kit from SimplySpeakers).  The other thing that I've found is that the components in the Active EQ deteriorate as well.  There are a lot of guides on how to fix this yourself, but my solder game isn't as strong as it should be, so I shipped mine off to Rain City Audio to be rebuilt.

My EQ also is not working.  I'll check out the rain city web-site.  Thanks!
