It's not recommended as they have no environmental protection. I understand these are in a covered area, but know that humidity, moisture, fog, dew, heat can all affect the lifespan of these speakers.
I know they are not in-ceiling, but the 251s are great to cover a large garden area, or the smaller 151s are more subtle and would probably be OK for a patio area.
