Weak Volume from Acoustimass® 5 Series V stereo speaker system

Bose product name:

Acoustimass® 5 Series V stereo speaker system

I just received my Acoustimass 5 series stereo system and I connected it to Audioengine B1 BLUETOOTH MUSIC RECEIVER (specs: https://audioengineusa.com/product_tech_specs/b1-bluetooth-music-receiver/).  With my PC at max volume, the speakers and bass are ok at best.  I wasn't sure whether to go the amplifier or receiver route originally, but I read a thread here somewhere saying that the aforementioned Audioengine B1 receiver should be sufficient for this product.  I have triple checked the setup and the receiver has no options as it auto-calibrates.

Any help on troubleshooting my setup would be greatly appreciated.

Of course you need an amplifier.   A Yamaha or Denon STEREO RECEIVER AMPLIFIER would do the trick ,

Pretty sure you still need an amplifier with that

Yeah, you are right.  The receiver I got isn't outputting enough power.  Do you have a recommendation for amps?
