hi, i recently bought two bose micro soundlink bluetooth speakers on Nov 2019. When i watch movie or youtube with them paired on party/stereo mode, i notice there is a lag/delay in the video sound. I have tried the following methods below but it still not working. Please advice.
1. I have factory reset both. Link: https://www.bose.sg/en_sg/support/article/resetting-the-speaker-soundlink-micro.html
2. I have updated both to the latest firmware 2.6. link: https://btu.bose.com/?p=-1#section=device
3. I have setup both of them with the bose app.
4. I tried party/stereo mode on smartphone's youtube it works. But on laptop and Mac youtube/movie still not working.
Welcome to the community. I am sorry that you are experiencing some audio to video lag when pairing your SoundLink Micros to your laptop.
Audio to video lag can be normal when using Bluetooth, this is due to the processing of Bluetooth from your laptop to your speaker. If you also have your speakers paired this adds a further processing time as the Bluetooth relays to each speaker. Latency can occur when watching videos because this was never developed with video playback in mind. However you will not experience this issue with general music listening because you are not referencing it against a video.
If you are looking to connect a SoundLink Micro to your computer for the purpose of watching movies and Youtube, I would recommend a cabled connection to avoid this audio to video lag.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
