I don't think there is an easy or cheap solution. If you can, I would suggest you take it in to a Bose retail outlet. They probably won't be able to fix it but they can give it a check-over to see if there is anything you missed. If it needs to be returned for a more technical evaluation, they may be able to assist you in doing that or even doing it for you. I personally found that to be a good way to deal with the problem.
If that does not work for you, I think your only recourse is to ship it to Bose to see what they say.
I have a wave radio AWR!-1W that all of a sudden stopped working. All I get is static on AM or FM. Moving through tuning I see the "stereo" light come on as appropriate. coincidentally, I purchased a second unit around the same time and it also has the same problem! How is it that 2 radios of the same age both fail with the same symptoms at exactly the same time? Has anyone else with this model had this type failure and how did you resolve it?
Thanks for all the info on your system. Called today, and sending mine off tomorrow. Guess it's worth the 63 bucks, vs buying a new one...and can't forego quality for cheaper radio. Hoping this 'fix' last another 10 yrs.
Same problem here all of a sudden I also have a AWRCC1 What do you suggest ?

I also encountered the same problem and after doing some tedious research came across a guy who replaced some capacitors in the system , it seems there is a issue with heat . So I got out my heat gun and opened the unit up and applied heat to the circuit board for about a minute or less , viola it works now . Not sure for how long but it is coming on and I can access everything as normal .
I had saw that one as well, but he found his in the garbage, and had nothing to lose. Also, gotta have a little knowledge to keep from destroying your radio, lol. But glad for you!!
Nice response, Bose

I TRIED REBOOTING JUST LIKE WITH A ROUTER AND MANY OTHER ELECTRONICS (ONLY DID IT FOR OVER A MINUTE LIKE SUPPORT SAID). THE ONE DIFFERENCE IS THAT I GOT THROUGH TO SUPPORT AND THE REP AGREED TO SEND ME A NEW REMOTE AT NO CHARGE. I RECEIVED THE NEW REMOTE AND IT DIDN'T HELP AT ALL. THEN, I FOUND THIS SITE AND READ ALL OF THE SAME COMPLAINT AND THOUGHT THAT THIS IS PATHETIC. I READ TWO POSTS THAT SHOWED THE PARTS REPLACED AND NON OF THE PARTS LISTED WERE ESSENTIAL TO THE OPERATION OF FM RECEPTION OR THE SOUND. AT THAT POINT I SAID TO MYSELF, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I TRY, SO DO SOME WEIRD THINGS! I TOOK BOTH REMOTES AND PUSHED THE ON BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME, AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK TO LIFE!!!
