Compatible with iPhone?

Can I connect my iPhone to the Wave Music System IV, and therefore play music from YouTube?

Bose product name

Country

Firmware Version

App Version

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S9 on Android 11, iPhone X on iOS14, etc.)

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Re: Compatible with iPhone?

Hi KittyBee,

Thanks for reaching out with your question, I would love to help!

The Wave Music System IV is only Bluetooth compatible if you have the additional Wave Bluetooth Music Adaptor. Regrettably this component is no longer sold by Bose, however you may be able to find this component at a third party outlet.

Alternatively, you can use an AUX connection, to do this you will require a 3.5mm - 3.5mm or a 3.5mm - Lightening cable adaptor. This is dependant on the iPhone you own. If your phone does not have a headphone input, the 3.5mm - Lightening cable adaptor will be required. You will be able to stream Youtube via your phone and have the audio output through your Wave whilst selecting the AUX mode on your remote control.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
