Connection question

I have a Wave Music System.  I have successfully added my portable Sirius XM radio to the system.  Now, I want to add a Bluetooth receiver so I can listen in other parts of my home (not just the south facing room!).  My system has only one input for the connection. How can I add the BT receiver while playing my SXM?

Re: Connection question

Hi Spartan Mike,

Thank you for taking the time to post and welcome to the Bose Community!

I'm afraid I need a little more information from you before I can advise.

Can you confirm how you have the radio connected to your Wave system?

What device do you wish to make Bluetooth?

What are you hoping to achieve with your set up?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kindest,

Re: Connection question

Could you plug the bluetooth receiver into the headphone jack?  IDK.

Or, you can probably find a bluetooth device of some sort on Amazon that will passthrough your Sirius XM radio to your Bose Wave radio via a wired connection, while transmitting the bluetooth signal to your other devices.

Re: Connection question

Hi Jessie,

I will try and answer your questions:

1. My portable Sirius is connected to my Wave system via the aux in wired connection from the SXM to the rear of the Wave.

2. I have a Bose BT speaker that I would like to use in other rooms of my home.  I have purchased a Mii BT wireless adapter that also needs to plug into the Wave system with an aux in cable. My problem is trying to plug in two devices into one "aux in" on the back of the radio. There are no connections available on my SXM device. It has three wires going out: power, antenna, and audio (to Wave system).

I hope this helps.

Re: Connection question

Thank you very much for confirming this for us.

I would like to look into what options are available for your speaker.

Can you please just confirm for me what version your Wave system is as well as what speaker you are attempting to connect your Wave too. If you are unsure on how to identify these, please take a look at this link, this will provide you with some assistance to identify your products.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Connection question

Hi Tegan M,

The model number for my Bose is AWRC1. I just have the base unit.

I can't tell if this thing has 3.5 mm in and out or not.  If not, I think you can find one on Amazon.
