Manual cd eject

I have a Wave System IV that is not responding to the remote, all user manual troubleshooting attempts failed. Is there a way to manually eject the cd.

Re: Manual cd eject

Hello Skunkbuck,

Thank you for post and welcome to the Bose Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem with your Wave System IV remote.

Does the remote execute any commands at all, such as play.pause and track controls?

Does a dot appear in the system display when a remote button is pressed?

To perform a manual CD ejection please follow these steps:

  • Unplug the system from power
  • Turn the system upside down
  • Gently tap the bottom
  • Turn it back over
  • Plug the system into power and the CD should automatically eject.

Get back to me with the results and I will be happy to help you further with your remote problem.

Warm regards,

Re: Manual cd eject

Hi

I am having the very same problem with my less than a year old Wave IV. and yes, the remote responds to other commands but not the CD eject. Will try the method described but would not be a happy Bose customer if this will continue to be the only method to remove a CD-- BOSE: please advise!!!!
