Old Bose Radio

I just found out my 1993 model Wave Radio is out of warrenty. I looked for a reset button and I've tried shutting off, unplugging and the plugging it in.  No matter what I do I still get a loud hum when it is turned on.  So I'm unable to use it except for the clock.  I was offered a replacement unit with a CD player, but I like the buttons on the top and don't want a CD player.  Apparently, this type of radio is no longer available.  Has anyone been able to fix this issue on their Wave  am/fm radio?

Re: Old Bose Radio

Look up Norbern Electronics of Colorado Springs, CO on the Internet. They indicate they can repair old Bose Wave Radios that are out-of-warranty. They are not affiliated with Bose Corporation and I have no experience with them - however - if one of my Wave Radios were to break and Bose could not repair it, I would give Norbern a try.
