Should I use Echo Input or the Soundtouch wireless link adapter

Hi

I wish to transform an old Wave system with CD player to a streaming speaker as I love the sound. I was wondering would the Soundtouch Link wireless adapter be better or the Echo Input. My fear is that the Soundtouch will force me to use the Bose app which is poorly rated. I want to play Pandora, Amazon music, etc from the system and have some Alexa control. I would consider both but if one is better than the other that is fine. Any thoughts?

Re: Should I use Echo Input or the Soundtouch wireless link adapter

I currently am using the Amazon Echo Input. It offers me the same options as the Echo Dot, but doesn't have a speaker. I can't honestly say if loss of sound quality is an issue, as music that is streamed does suffer from loss, but in the end it sounds good enough. Volume can also be controlled though the Echo Input, so that's another plus for me.
