Re: remote control

Hi Urfr,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Wave system and would love to assist further. So that I can provide you with the correct information for your product, can you please confirm which Wave system you have?

You will be able to see which model you have via the bottom of the Wave system. Can you please let me know if you are able to use any other sources?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind Regards,

Re: remote control

Hello Urfr,

Thank you for confirming this information for us.

Could you please confirm if you are able to play any other sources on the Wave Music System, such as CDs?

At this point, I would recommend performing a reset on the system. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. If there is a disc in the system, eject it whenever possible
  2. Turn the system off
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the WMS. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reconnect the power cord
    1. If there is a disc in the system that was not previously ejected, the disc should eject. The disc will automatically reload if it is not removed within 10 seconds
  5. Retest the system

Once you have done this, please feedback the results to me.

Warm regards,

Re: remote control

Many thanks for your answer.

I performed every thing you have suggested in the order you instructed.

The problem did not solve. I can not hear the radio. when I press Radio station on the remote control the screen showes the old "Please wait" (whic I started to hate...)

Is there still a hope?

Thank for your kindness.

Re: remote control

Hello Urfr,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Was the Wave system a recent purchase? or have you owned it for a number of years?

With regards to the 'Please Wait' message, if the system is being used with a Bose link cable, (e.g, multi-disc player, DAB radio) the problem can be caused by a faulty ground connection. Disconnect the Bose link cable to see if this helps resolve the issue.

Additionally, you can perform a reset on the system to see if this helps to resolve the issue:

  1. If there is a disc in the system, eject it whenever possible
  2. Turn the system off
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the WMS. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reconnect the power cord
  5. Retest the system

If the issue persists, please reach out to support in your country here.

I hope this helps you, please let me know how you get on.

Kind regards,

Jeff G
