Setting Up the SoundWear Companion Speaker

Put the speaker into connecting mode.

Turn the speaker on
Press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED begins to flash blue and the voice prompt says, "Ready to connect"
The speaker will remain in discoverable mode for 5 minutes, or until a Bluetooth connection is made

Turn on your mobile phone
Turn on the Bluetooth feature in your mobile device. For details on using this feature, refer to the owner's guide for your phone
Select "Bose Soundwear" from your mobile device’s Bluetooth list. The Bluetooth indicator glows solid white, and the voice prompt says “Connected to ”
Enter the numbers 0000 if your phone requests a pin or pass code
The speaker can remember up to eight devices. If you pair a ninth device, the least recently used device will be deleted from the speaker’s memory


Pairing a Bluetooth device using the Bose Connect app:

Enable Bluetooth from the settings menu of the device to be paired
Turn on the speaker:
1. If the Bluetooth indicator is flashing blue, the product is ready to pair. Go to Step 3
2. If the Bluetooth indicator is flashing white, the product is attempting to connect to a previously connected device. Push and hold the power switch all the way up until the indicator flashes blue, which signals the product is ready to pair
3. Open the Bose Connect app and wait while it searches for available Bose Bluetooth products


Locate the Bose product to pair to the device. If you have more than one Bose Bluetooth product, swipe left or right to find the desired product


Drag the product icon onto the "Drag to connect" field on the bottom of the screen, then release the icon


Android devices: The products pair. This is confirmed when the product icon is displayed with its volume slider


Apple devices: A pop-up appears instructing you to go to the device's Bluetooth settings and choose the Bose product

A pop-up might appear asking for the product's permission to access the connected device's call log. Allow access so the phone's caller ID and voice input will work with the product
