Do the new Hearphones have "low latency" Bluetooth 4.x technology?

Do the new Hearphones have "low latency" Bluetooth 4.x technology?

There are at least 4 different Bluetooth technologies:

(1)  SBB codec

(2)  apX codec

(3)  aptX-LL codec  <--------------------

(4)  FastStream codec'"

These are very important when watching TV so that the video and audio are reasonably "in sync". Does anyone know if the new Hearphones have low latency technology built into them?

Tnx,

Ken N9VV

Hi Ken N9VV,

Thank you for joining us. This is a great question and I'm glad you brought this up.

Hearphones support the AAC and SBC codecs. Hearphones do not support aptX or aptX-LL.

You piqued my curiosity, and I ran through several scenarios here so I could document them while I was experiencing them. You can find that here:  Hearphones and Television: Private and Social Listening

Please follow the link. I hope you find it interesting.

Thanks for the inspiration.
