Yeah I thought it had updated but it hadn't, not sure why, then the option appeared when it was up-to-date.

When Phone-free Mode becomes available will it require purchase of a new unit or would it be available on earlier models?
Ok, so I found the phone free mode and it works! Ha, I should have read more posts.

Hello Kingwah,
Thank you for the question.
This is available to all Sleepbuds and would not need to purchase a new pair.
If you have any other questions, let us know.

Hi Alhtis,
Thanks for the questions.
We recently just released a "Phone Free" mode with the Sleepbuds, which means you do not need to have your phone on for them to work. The only feature that will not work is the alarm if you're using that mode.
As for making a phone call, these are not designed to accept phone call audio or any other app besides the Bose Sleep app.
I would suggest to try them out and see if you like them.
If you have any other questions, let us know.

Hi
check previous posts. I had same issue. You need to update your app and then you can do phone free mode. I have been camping in Antipodes and used the phone free for about 6 nights for 2 and when very noisy 4 hours. With sound of ocean lulling me to sleep Excellent no more silicone ear plugs. Had to charge case after 6 or 7 nights but only needed small charge.
A very good buy.
