That’s unbelievable. I bet they are not using Jira or anything else to track their tickets. They should get interns to help them. I’m seriously angry about the slow update process for the whole soundtouch line. I posted exactly the same request for the new SDK, and all they say is „I forwarded it to the development team“. They have no clue about knowledge management... keeping track of feature requests. Hello Bose team, don't get me wrong but I think you still don't get what I mean. Maybe it's due to my bad English. Anyways... one more try: Bose needs to provide an update for the SoundTouch Products to work with the latest spotify SDK. Because with the newest SDK it is possible to stream music via the spotify app (spotify connect) to the SoundTouch products even if you only have a free subscription. So it's basically something you can adjust. Hey bose, I have 2 quick questions. Hope they get answered. 1. Are you planning to change the design (GUI) of soundtouch app to match the bose music app? (Or at least some design tweaks especially on iOS) In my opinion the Bose music app is way better. 2. Spotify allows now to stream music from the Spotify app via „Spotify connect“ to 3rd Party music systems even though you are a only a free member. Can you please add this functionality asap? Because right now it doesn’t seem to work... Thank you!

Hey guys, I'm very curious if AirPlay 2 is working like expected? Currently I dont own a Smarthome Speaker, only Soundtouch, thats why Im asking. Is the multoroom in sync with like for instance the homepod or other AirPlay 2 enabled devices? And how about the HomeKit integration? Can you tell siri to play Music and switch the Speaker On/Off in the Home app? Thanks in advnce :)

Hello everyone, Right now the software update for Airplay 2 is rolling out to HomeSpeaker 500, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700. SoundTouch products will follow later. I deeply hope it’s working as supposed to and they can now turn to other important functions... I totally agree with you! All I can say is that I’m not joking. I have screenshots from a chat with a Bose customer service guy who told me that they were informed about the launch tomorrow. Actually I can not believe that.... after all the trouble and bad Communication...but it seems to be true. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. But as you already stated it’s just airplay 2 and no Apple Music Integration in the app like for instance Sonos has. I don’t get it why it’s taking them so long to do so. I hope they immediately release the update for the SoundTouch products as well because I have plenty of them and that would work well with my homepod. Hope the german Customer Service person didn’t fool me.

Finally!!!! AirPlay2 is coming tomorrow :D I can tell you from my source that AirPlay2 is coming to the Smarthome Speaker Series tomorrow. Unfortunately nothing to say about SoundTouch... If ever to happen for soundtouch its probably gonna take another year or so..

The same appplies to me. I have bought two HomePods, because Bose delivers only empty promises. The ridicoulous part is that since 2015 (!) I am observing this forum and always heard the same answer over and over again... "thank you for your suggestion for improvement, we have forwarded it to the development team". Since 2015 they have only managed to release a "new" app design and alexa integration. Back in 2016 they announced a solution for better managing feature requests by giving the customers the choice to vote for features. Nothing really nothing of that came true. Again empty promises... To me it looks like they had a budget of XXXX $ and they were like "lets give the app a new paint job". The order was then outsourced to a development team, who had really no clue whats going on. The first release of the new app was terribly bad... there were some bug fixes to calm down the crowd, but that was it. nothing more since then! As a bonus they have deleted all the old posts of complains by customers. What's even more interesting is that the old moderators of this forum and probably the product manager mike angelo are no longer there - obviously the have threw in the towel. Last but not least have you ever checked the app store rating? In the iOS app store there is more or less only god feedback... very suspicoius if you ask me. Sorry for the long text but I have had enough after four years. I'm tired of hearing empty promises over and over again. I can't understand how you can't build up a strong programming team that will rework the whole app and program new functions, especially essential ones, instead of just stepping functions. Nowadays you won't get far with hardware. Where is the added value for the customers? Like many others, it's just enough for me. I have a list of mistakes and suggestions for improvement, if Bose wants them they can contact me (It's not like I haven't already filled out their polls here and in the app) Bye

Hello, everybody, I ask myself or I ask you, when finally new functions will come? It's felt an eternity ago that really new features were implemented. There are not even bug fixes. May I honestly ask how many developers you have? It's been said for over a year now that AirPlay 2 is being worked on and other features are shut down because of that. Now there is no AirPlay 2 until now, so I ask what exactly is being worked on at the moment? And where has the product manager Mike been? About 2 years ago I really thought everything would be fine with Bose now because Mike had promised to work on many problems (especially release cycles) and there should be a new tool with the quote: "we can integrate new music services faster". Really? nothing to see of it to this day either... Many greetings from germany and from a frustrated customer who hasn't recommended Bose for a long time. Hope I get an answer. :(

Hello, when will it be possible to see the music library of my iPhone in the soundtouch app? That is actually basic stuff that every competitor has implemented. Are you guys only stream your music from music services or from iTunes librarys of your pc? It would be nice if you can give me an answer if this is something that is on the roadmap :)

Looks like I misunderstood something - it was not called feature board, instead: Idea Portal. here is the quote from the product manager: We are working on a system for all of your product and app suggestions to be sent directly to the Product team. Hey, at the moment you can not change the Deezer Profiles in the bose soundtouch app. And I dont think it will be possible in future, because all they tell us is: thank you, we have no new information. I don't understand why it is not possible to give us an answer directly from a developer. Something like... "uhh we are actively looking into this issue and have figured out that we have to implement 2-3 things to get this thing working". I think they haven't looked at this problem at all.

I had the same problem several times now. You are in the soundtouch app and press volume up hardware button on iPhone 6s in my case and it immediately jumps to max volume. That is a hazard!

Hello, one quick question: Can you tell us more about upcoming features for apple Watch App? For example an On/off Switch is highly appreciated :) The iOS App is in terms of user experience is not as good as it could be. What are you doing in order to overcome these issues? One essential point that comes to my mind is the lack of "swiping back" from the left of the screen to the right (If you are in a submenu and want to go back now you have to hit the back button in the top left corner which is not so aesy to reach on large displays) --> nearly all iOS apps have already adopted the swipe back behaviour. P.S. this gesture qould be nice to evoke the hamburger menu as well. Should not be too hard to implement this tiny fetaure. Thank you for listening!

Hello, in Germany we only have vTuner for listening to radio stations. It's really sad that you can't see the track information like artist and title. Are you plan adding that feature? In this context it would be helpful to have other radio services like tunein or ihearthRadio and the ability to add our own streaming urls. (talking about germany here) Thank you!

Hello Mike Angelo, first of all: what a great idea to do an Ask&Answer :) My question is, why is the integration of music services so diverse? In my opinion spotify is deeply integrated into the soundtouch system and looks great. I understand that spotify is the most popular music service, but I would like to see some love for Deezer too. - For instance in Deezer you can not search for playlists (only title, album, interpreter) - It's not possible to add a family subscription so that you can add multiple / own accounts/profiles like in spotify (that's a feature wanted by many) - all the apperance of the album covers and the UI is not as beautiful as in spotify (for example horizontal scrolling) If all that is limited to the Deezer API I can understand, but I would love to see an answer to this if thats the case. I would suggest that there should be music service experts who can answer music service related questions in the forum :)

If it will help you: I received the update a few days ago. loction: germany. But i dont like the update process either. Is it not possible to deliver the firmware update with the app update from the appstores? I think most of the people are confused that their App changes without an update from the appstores. Why not delivering firmware updates to the soundtouch devices out of the app and app changes just by updating from the stores? That would be a more consistent approach.

I'd like to add that for me there was not really a notification in the form of a popup. At the bottom of the screen there was an idicator that showed me there is omething "to download". After cklicking that icon it will inform you about the process to download. It actually took a while to download. But I dont know if size of the update is just huge or bose server are not as fast as expected, my internet connection is not to blame - thats all I can say :)

I have the update 14.0.30 for a few days as well. I don't really know what bug they actually discovered, that is delaying the update. Because for me this version is working very well. Speaker discovery is very fast. Just one thing: someday I started the bose soundtouch 10 and the volume was at its max position. Maybe that is the ominous bug :D

I just wanted to get back to you. I don't know what has changed but somehow my covers of radio stations in the widget and apple watch app seem to work! Probbably this is due to the new update. I can assure you that it never worked before...and I have tested it on several devices in my household. Although if I force quit the app in the app switcher and restart it, it will take some time to get the images. But thats fine for me, at least it works. But maybe some cache method will be great. If you are still interested in the logs I can collect them, but for me it's working properly now. regards djbazztek

Wow! Thank you so much for answering my questions and forwarding things to the software team, Brandon. Regarding the questions: 3. Thats true, all of the favourites are radio stations. I already tried to reconfigure it, but it stays the same. Whats striking me is that in the favourite overview all radio station covers are present. (see my Screenshot below) [Apple Watch App is affected by this symptom as well] 4. Sorry my fault. Yeah I mean artist, album, and track information when listening to radio stations. Currently it only displays the name of the radio station. I hope you will get back to me, if you have more info from the software team. By the way... I'm installing the update right now and the app feels so snappy and speeded up. Good work!

Hello everybody, First I actually like the new app. I have been following this forum months over months and finally I am somehow content and happy with the new modern App for iOS :-) so thanks to developers team. I know you can't answer all my questions that I have, so I try just to ask a few, mainly the most obvious / annoying ones. 1.) If you are in the App in a submenu I call it. You will see a back arrow in the upper left corner. On iOS it is not possible to "swipe" back. For me that is an essential feature in terms of usability. I really hope, that you can release this feature as soon as possible. It's especially handy for big screen sizes :-) 2.) I would love to see a search function over all 3rd Party music services. I know that should be possible to search for a song and it will provide you with results from Spotify, deezer, local etc. 3.) again iOS: In the widget I can't see covers of my favorites. Only one cover is showing on Slot 2. (See attachment screenshot) it's the same behavior for the Apple Watch app. 4.) don't know if this was answered here anywhere earlier , but is it not possible to see id3 Tags? I'm using the vTuner radio channels and can't see any song information. In Germany we only have vTuner :( no TuneIn. 5.) deezer questions: Search only applies to title, author and albums. Often I want to search for playlists. Is this not possible due to deezer API? Just curious :) because it would be awesome so search for playlists. Family subscription: it's not possible to select a profile... only the main account is used. Any info on that? I think the Spotify integration is really well done, so the deezer integration could see some love too ;-) 6.) clock and alarm I see more wanted by the community as you have stated in your last post about the feb. update. :D 7.) you talked already about IFTT integration and Amazon Alexa... can you say something about Apple HomeKit? How awesome would it be to come home and say to Siri: play favorite 2 ? I would love it, but I know hardware needs a special chip from Apple. But maybe you have more info on that. Thank you! That is unbelievable..... How many people are working at Bose in the software team? Communication between software team and forum moderators is a shame! Why is it so hard to understand that people want to get informed about the damn update. Why are you not even mentioning in the App update description the changelog? Or even furhter a hint, that the update will take some time for all people to be available (although I dont understand that behaviour) --> believe me that will lead to better reviews!

Same here! no update available... although it was announced as the big NOVEMBER update. Is there a way to get the update immediately ? Sign in /sign out / add new bose account....? what is the criteria for the prompt to pop up? So diappointing: Especcially the lack of communication, which should have been improved they told us.

@Bose Team, I have a Deezer music account with a family subscription. Unfortunately I can only listen to the owner of the family plan. It is not possible to change the "family profiles". Im really sad about the missing functionality. Do you know about that problem? Are you already working on solving this issue? Please inform us about your current roadmap. Thank you
