Do not expect much from Bose. All they ever say is it is in development.   I have never seen them add anything other than a clock to soundtouch products. I am not counting on it ever to be added.  They gave us a clock but no timer. that should have been easy as it is in the soundtouch on the wave product.    But you are welcome to buy the new like of Bose proiducts. Myself i decided if i want airplay 2 i needed to buy from a company that actaully will supply it. I am replacing all my soundtouch junk with homepods.    At least Apple did not promise me some thing and then not deliver it.  ... View more

So this is the same thing we have been hearing since the day airplay 2 was announced. I am starting to think that you don't know how to do it. Why is it just about every other manufacturer that has announced this feature is providing it. When will Bose have it availble whern airplay 3 is announced.    I hope you still have customers left then. Myself I am mstarting to look at other manufacturters that are able to stay caught up with tecnology. Bose can't even supply dolbly 7.1 systems or dolby atmos.    But I can always come here to this forum to get theser questions answered. I am curious why it is that Bose cares so little about its customers that all that can tell us is we have no information yet.   Who at Bose can answer this question? It is hard to say what Bose will do. After all they still are stuck with 5.1. The best hometheater system they sell is behind other manufacturers. I own one and I do like it but I think it is the last Bose system I ever buy. While I like the nice small speakers and they do sound good I think for the premium price I should get a premium product. Actuall what bose said was early 2019 not late this year. This is copied directly from thier site Apple AirPlay 2 coming early 2019 But i also don't expect them to come through with it.    And I have several homepods and I find that they work fine. And every one of my music apps have a apple TV app and will use the homepods. They are every bit as good as the soundtouch products that I have if not better. I have no problems using them with every device I have as I am an apple enviorment. Every thing works with them.   While my TV right now does not work with them it will shortly as soon as the fiirmware is released for my TV. I actuall expect this to happen a lot sooner that bose will release firmware.    While Bose may be a good product it is something you get knowing up front that if it does not have a feature now it might not ever get it. But they will take away features. Just look at vtuner going away.    But remember you can always ask for it here and they will notify development for you. Does not mean you will get iy but it will be on the list.    If i sound a little critical of them it is only because this has been my experience with them. I expect if we ever see it it will be in a  new version of hardware. I'm not expecting it in any thing i have now. I have come to beleive that when you but bose you buy for what it does the day you buy it. As In all the time I have had Bose equipment they never really added a single feature to it. With the exception of Alexa. And I bet that was more Amazon that Bose. Bose has a history of not giving you any more. Rather they want you to buy new equipment and get new features that way.    But now I have seen that they are also taking stuff away. Such as Vtuner. Replace it with a POS like tunein.    I hope any one considering buying Bose reads these forums first. There is enough here to make you change your mind.    But I am pretty sure the only way I will ever get Appleplay 2 on my very expensive lifestyle 650 is to connect an apple TV. As the website says this And Apple AirPlay 2 is coming early 2019.   Well it is now early 2019. I think that someone at bose should know when this is going to be released. As it is early 2019 it really should be ready now. But as I have learned with bose what ever thay say really does not mean a lot. It it did not have it when you bought it it probably won't be getting it.    In fact now it seems if it had it had a feature when you bought it that could alos change.    I think I am entitled to a better answer. Still no luck with a CBS owned station like WXRT in Chicago.   I hope bose is enjoying the few bucks they saved making this change. But they will never get any more from me. I am so tired of bose promissing stuff and not delivering but when the take stuff away that is just to much. My lifesyle 650 is a nice system. Most advanced bose sells right now. But several years behind in current tech. I should have know better when i bought this system.   And it is early 2019 where is airplay 2? I wonder if we will ever see that. ... View more

So it looks like CBS owned stations are out as Bose is not going to fix this so we can get them. They are just going to uase the cheapest app they can get.
