Yes Ive tried those steps without success. Look, this is not an isolated issue. Many people have this problem, but most wont bother coming here. They just refund or simply doesnt reflect on the issue. Your support process wont fix this issue since it is a design flaw, fixable possibly with a software update. So I wont waste time with it. Thats why Im writing here to let you know of the real issue instead, hoping for a proper solution to be developed.

So is there an option to turn this thing off yet? There is an option in the app that says "timer for automati..." What does that do? Related? Unbelievable frankly the blunders that Bose do. QC35 - Bluetooth super weak Sleepbuds - Doesnt sync properly between buds Revolve - Cant turn off and an app that leaves you guessing Customer Support - Very rigid and automated. These threads speak for themselves. Its a real shame, because the build quality and sound are great. Sigh............... Regards

I have the same issue. 19 out of 20 times the left bud (which I assume is master) starts playing 0,5-1 seconds before the Right bud. The few times that it does start simultaneously, its great. It adds a whole new depth to the sounds, as if they are playing in your head, rather than in the ears. Sadly, it rarely works. The best way to ensure a sync is to use disconnected mode and remove them from the case at the same time. But for 300 bucks, this shouldnt happen. But it seems to me its a design flaw. This is just how they operate with the Bluetooth signals. If it was possible to add a delay to the left bud to compensate for the right, it could be a workaround. But that will never happen. @jamespaulley Thats a great observation. It doesnt resolve the problem, but it sure makes a difference! Ill keep juggling tracks permanently. It seems to keep the connection more responsive, even whith a paused transfer. Bose dev team should take note of this.

I just realised all the tracks are desynced, but its mostly noticable on the tracks with raindrops or crackles or waves. Marina is a good example. I believe this is because when I turn on a track, it starts about 0,5-1 second earlier on the left bud than on the right. This becomes very distracting. Is there any way to sync the buds? The only way Ive found so far is to use disconnected mode and try to remove them from the dock at the same time. Extremely inconvenient. This is a major design flaw. Please fix this in a software update if at all possible. I might just return them until this is sorted. Best Regards

I believe the lack of sound content and customization is due to the small drivers and storage. Adding tracks with bass for instance would make the earphones sound bad, which is something that Bose dont want to be associated with. Understandable. And adding your own sound files would likely fill up the entire storage with a single file, which would cause people to complain. The upside is ofcourse that the small drivers makes the buds light and comfy. Not to mention the 15 hour battery, which is pretty amazing. But otherwise I agree. Some 10-20 additional tracks in the library shouldnt be that difficult to quality test and add.

Agreed. The black on white interface is a bit counter intuitive considering the purpose of the buds. Inverted theme would be a big improvement.

There is an app for Android called Ambience, with similar themes for regular headphones. One of them is Distant Thunder. Low rolling thunder coming and going in the distance. Very, very cosy, and my favorite using that app. Would love to see it on the Bose app. That is all. Best regards

Frankly, I havent used many BT devices before the QC35 so Im new to the technology. But, Im getting more and more convinced that this is a general BT issue. If I have clear LOS between Right earcup and the device I can be over 10 meters from the source with no issues. Physical barriers are the problem, which makes sense in the context of the technology which is, basically a weak radio signal broadcast.

Agreed. Screen inwards and top of the phone upwards (Galaxy S7). Yes it is odd but considering my plastic phone cover killed the signal almost completely it makes sense that jeans kill it somewhat. I decided to keep my QC35 despite these flaws as the pros outweigh the cons. I like the fit and sound quality. I also got myself a nicer, thicker cable as backup or when I want to listen without ANC.

1. I dont see this as a major blunder. Charging is fast and battery time is plenty for me. The weak BT antenna is the major blunder IMO. Stuttering connection kills any good music. 2. I agree turning the ANC off would be nice. You can listen without ANC while using a wire though. Atleast its something. 4. What does this mean? Many music players got EQ.

So I just bought a pair of QC35. Apart form the BT connection issues, I find them ok. However Im not sure how I like the ANC feature yet. Does one get used to the vacuum/underwater pressure sensation? I find it somewhat fatiguing currently. Another question: at loud volumes, does it actually cancel parts of your played content (escaping the headphones), or is that somehow compensated for software-wise? Thanks Linus

Its definitely a bluetooth strength issue. With my plastic phone cover on it stutters every 10 seconds. Without the cover it stutters only when the top part of my phone gets blocked, like having it in my pocket and putting my hand on it. It seems odd that the antenna would be so bad, but is the most likely reason. A real shame. What other headphones would you guys recommend instead, with the same features and comfort? Thanks

Do you by any chance use some sort of protective cover for your smartphone? I had similiar issues, and when I removed the cover, all of the stutter disappeared.
