I have the same problem. The audio cable is clearly not damaged, the headphones are a week old, BT works beautifully, and the audio cable doesn't work as it should; it needs to be slightly loose (others on these boards seem to have luck with using a tiny rubber washer), and even then, the sound quality is tinny and distant (also reported by other users on these boards), and because of the looseness, sound will sometimes come only from one channel (also reported by others). A troubling pattern when looking at the boards: MANY users report this issue, but official responses from Bose act as though this problem is unique to the user and unusual.
